exhibition · 2026-07-07

'Claude Monet. Des jardins en héritage' is an exhibition at the Franciscaines de Deauville commemorating the 100th anniversary of Monet's passing, showcasing his impact on modern artists. The display includes four significant works: Nymphéas (1907) from the Musée d'Art Moderne et Contemporain de Saint-Étienne, Glycines (1919–1920) from the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire de Dreux, Nymphéas et agapanthes (1914–1917) from the Musée Marmottan Monet, and Bassin aux nymphéas, harmonie verte (1899) from the Musée d'Orsay, which will be substituted by Harmonie rose (1900) in late September. Curators Annie Madet-Vache, Nathalie Bondil, and Stéphane Guégan have chosen six artists inspired by Monet, such as Abdallah Benanteur, Hiramatsu Reiji, and Jean Paul Riopelle. The exhibition is open from July 11 to November 1, 2026, at Les Franciscaines, Deauville.
