Davide Livermore appointed sole director of Teatro Nazionale di Genova

The Teatro Nazionale di Genova's Board of Directors, led by Alessandro Giglio, has sanctioned a new organizational framework. Starting January 1, 2026, Davide Livermore will assume the role of Direttore Unico. Meanwhile, Princess Isatu Hassan Bangura, a Sierra Leonean artist residing in the Netherlands, has been appointed as Direttore Junior. This position was established by Ministerial Decree No. 463 on December 23, 2024, to foster emerging talent. The decree, issued by the Italian Ministry of Culture, outlines priorities for the 2025-2027 period, focusing on gender equality, sustainability, and inclusion. The Junior Director role is essential for securing state funding. Born in 1996, Bangura emigrated at 13 and is a multidisciplinary artist who won the Theo d'Or for her work Great Apes of the West Coast.
