Davide Dall’Osso’s Monumental Installations Transform Castelfiorentino

In the heart of Tuscany, the town of Castelfiorentino hosts a sprawling exhibition of monumental installations by Davide Dall’Osso (born Pesaro, 1960). Titled 'Lo Spazio per Essere,' the show features large-scale sculptures placed throughout the historic center, including at the Teatro del Popolo and the Bego Museum. The works, which include oversized horses symbolizing journey and empathy, and giant human faces representing global identities, engage in a dialogue between ancient and contemporary. Dall’Osso uses recycled polycarbonate materials to convey an ethical and sustainable message. The exhibition is a public commission by the municipality, continuing the Renaissance tradition of civic patronage. The show runs in Castelfiorentino in 2019.
