David Zwirner launches Platform to support emerging galleries
David Zwirner has introduced a new initiative named Platform, slated to begin on April 3. This program aims to assist 12 emerging New York galleries by providing them with a online viewing room for a month, addressing the difficulties they encountered during the pandemic. Participating galleries include 47 Canal, Brigade Donahue, and Essex Street, among others. Notably, Zwirner will not impose any fees or take a percentage of their sales. The next iteration is expected to showcase galleries from London. Zwirner's digital platform, established in 2017, has become increasingly crucial for art transactions, particularly amid COVID-19 constraints.
