David Smith Exhibition at Ensb-a in Paris

The École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts (Ensb-a) in Paris hosted a solo exhibition of American sculptor David Smith at its Chapelle des Petits-Augustins from March 18 to April 27, 2003. The show presented a selection of Smith's welded metal sculptures, highlighting his pioneering role in Abstract Expressionist sculpture. Known for his innovative use of industrial materials and techniques, Smith's work from the 1930s through the 1960s was featured. The exhibition was accompanied by a PDF catalog available for download.
