David Shelton sullo scambio culturale, la scena artistica di Houston e le prossime mostre
In una conversazione con Chris Becker per Glasstire, David Shelton, gallerista di Houston, riflette sullo sviluppo della sua galleria e della comunità artistica locale. Dopo aver trascorso tre anni alla Isabella Court, Shelton ha trasferito la sua galleria a Montrose nel 2016. La mostra attuale, intitolata "42," è curata da Dana Frankfort e Jeremy DePrez e presenta nove artisti che esplorano l'astrazione. Shelton ha sostenuto mostre curate da artisti, come "Everything's Gonna Be Alright Now" (2019) di Robert Leroy Hodge e "Emerging from Where?" (2025). Mostre personali significative hanno presentato Tyler Deauvea e Joey Fauerso. "Earth Memories" di Jeremy DePrez aprirà il 10 settembre 2026. Shelton crede che le fiere d'arte siano scambi culturali vitali, con la speranza che la fiera di Houston incoraggi la collaborazione.
