David Lynch Documentary 'The Art Life' Hits Theaters February 2017

The documentary 'David Lynch: The Art Life,' directed by Rick Barnes, Jon Nguyen, and Olivia Neergaard-Holm, will be released in Italian cinemas on February 20, 2017. The 90-minute film, produced by Jon Nguyen, Jason Scheunemann, and Sabrina Sutherland (co-produced by Marina Girard-Muttele), and distributed in Italy by Wanted, offers an intimate portrait of Lynch, following him in his studios, art galleries, painting and sculpture workshops. The project originated in 2004 during the filming of 'Inland Empire' and took 12 years to complete, supported by a crowdfunding campaign. The documentary is dedicated to Lynch's youngest daughter, conceived as a private diary from father to daughter. Its release coincides with the highly anticipated sequel to 'Twin Peaks,' co-created with Mark Frost, which will air on Showtime starting May 21, 2017. The original series, which aired in 1990, is credited with revolutionizing television serials.
