David LaChapelle Photographs Lavazza 2020 Calendar

Lavazza has unveiled its 2020 calendar, titled "Earth CelebraAction," featuring photographs by David LaChapelle. The calendar was presented in Venice under the creative direction of Agenzia Armando Testa. Following Ami Vitale, a former National Geographic photographer, LaChapelle—a protégé of Andy Warhol known for glamorous celebrity portraits—now focuses on ecological themes. His recent work shifts to landscape photography with a surreal, polished style. Francesca Lavazza, Board Member of the Lavazza Group, stated that LaChapelle's evolution toward sustainability aligns with the calendar's direction. Set in Hawaii, where the artist now lives, the calendar celebrates life through symbolic imagery combining fire, water, earth, and air with human presence in natural settings. The calendar continues Lavazza's environmental commitment.
