David Hockney's Immersive Show to Open at Lightroom London in January 2023
The new exhibition venue, Lightroom, located at 12 Lewis Cubitt Square in King's Cross, is set to open in January 2023. It will feature David Hockney's immersive work titled 'David Hockney: Bigger & Closer (not smaller & further away)', which will be available from January 25 to April 23, 2023, with ticket prices ranging from £25 to £35. This 50-minute experience unfolds across four levels and six distinct 'chapters', showcasing Hockney's collages, Polaroids, iPad art, and stage designs, all narrated by Hockney himself. The project is a joint effort between 59 Productions and the London Theatre Company, established by Nicholas Hytner and Nick Starr. The building, designed by Haworth Tompkins and funded by Leonard Blavatnik, took three years to complete.
