David Chipperfield's Extension of Kunsthaus Zürich Opens
Completed in December 2020, the extension of the Kunsthaus Zürich was designed by David Chipperfield Architects Berlin. The ambitious architectural and cultural project was presented in a video by the firm, focusing on the interaction between first visitors and the new space. The museum now houses the largest and most diverse collection of Alberto Giacometti's works, as stated by director Christoph Becker in 2019. The video also features the participatory sound installation "The sense of things" by choreographer William Forsythe. A major retrospective on Niki de Saint Phalle is planned for 2022.
