Dario Fo and Franca Rame retrospective at Palazzo Barberini
A major exhibition titled 'Il mestiere del narratore' (The Storyteller's Craft) opened at Palazzo Barberini in Rome, celebrating the lives and careers of Dario Fo and Franca Rame. Curated by the Compagnia Teatrale Fo-Rame and hosted by the Gallerie Nazionali di Arte Antica, the show features around 150 works including drawings, paintings, tapestries, scripts, photographs, documents, puppets, masks, costumes, and stage objects. The collection, assembled by Franca Rame, is now housed at the Archivio di Stato di Verona. The exhibition opened five months after the death of Dario Fo, the last Italian Nobel laureate in literature. Italian Minister of Cultural Heritage Dario Franceschini described the works as capable of conveying the extraordinary career dedicated to theater, civic engagement, and the constant search for truth through art. The exhibition runs until June 25.
