Dario Cimorelli leaves Silvana, launches new publishing house and school
After three decades and the publication of ten thousand books, Dario Cimorelli has resigned from his position as director general of Silvana Editoriale. He established Dario Cimorelli editore, which emphasizes selective publishing, organizes exhibitions, and runs a school for art professionals in Milan. This institution will prepare editors, proofreaders, registrars, press officers, and social media managers. Cimorelli aims to publish around one hundred titles each year and will offer consultancy to Silvana for nearly a year. Under his leadership, Silvana achieved a turnover of €10 million in 2022 with Michele Pizzi at the helm. His time in office included difficulties, such as the liquidation of Silvana's printer in 2014. Noteworthy works include Leonardo's Lady with an Ermine and The Story of (my) Exhibition.
