Dario Argento retrospective at Turin's Mole Antonelliana

The Museo Nazionale del Cinema in Turin has launched 'Dario Argento. The Exhibit', marking the first significant retrospective for the renowned Italian horror filmmaker Dario Argento. Located at the Mole Antonelliana, the exhibition showcases over a hundred film stills arranged thematically, in addition to posters, unpublished images, costumes, props, and soundtracks. Notable items include a replica cleaver from 'The Phantom of the Opera', the mechanical puppet head from 'Suspiria', and costumes from 'Phenomena'. Born in Rome in 1940, Argento made his debut with 'The Bird with the Crystal Plumage' in 1970, revolutionizing Italian cinema. The exhibit also reflects on the critiques he received, especially regarding 'Suspiria', 'Inferno', and 'Opera', as Argento aims to solidify his films in the audience's memories.
