Dante-Inspired Public Art Exhibition Opens in Milan's CityLife Park

exhibition · 2026-04-27

The CityLife park in Milan hosts a public art exhibition named 'L'amor che move il sole e l'altre stelle,' running until June 30, 2021. Curated by Massimiliano Finazzer Flory, with executive curators Rossella Farinotti and Irene Sofia Comi, the exhibition marks the 700th anniversary of Dante Alighieri's death and derives its title from the last tercet of Paradiso in the Divine Comedy. Featuring eleven artists, including Michelangelo Pistoletto and Roberto Cacciapaglia, the show also highlights two emerging talents, Lucia Cristiani and Matteo Vettorello, chosen through Kooness.com and ARTE Generali. Finazzer Flory emphasizes three themes connecting Dante and modern art: exile, technical innovation, and public art as a means of communication. Notable works include a surreal bus stop by Lucenti, a sound piece by Cacciapaglia, and Pistoletto's 'Terzo Paradiso.'
