Danilo Torre and Filippo La Vaccara's short film 'People and Pizza'

Director Danilo Torre and artist Filippo La Vaccara have collaborated on a short film titled 'People and Pizza,' an ironic and introspective video exploring human relationships and identity in the contemporary world. Shot in low resolution in a Milan park, the film features characters wearing large sculptural masks made of iron and papier-mâché, inspired by La Vaccara's well-known ceramic heads. The authors explain that while people daily represent themselves through selfies and phone videos without showing their true faces, the masked protagonists of this film are authentic, like characters from ancient comedy, offering a Dada-esque slice of reality. The remixed music by Alessandro Linzitto gives a vintage and contemporary feel to the impossible dialogue between characters.
