Danielle van Zedelhoff's 'Survivors' Portraits of Long-Term HIV Patients at Fitzrovia Chapel
The Fitzrovia Chapel in London will present 'Survivors: Portraits of Resilience Personal Accounts of the AIDS Crisis' from June 9 to 12, 2026. This exhibition showcases 16 photographic portraits by Danielle van Zedelhoff, who has documented individuals living with HIV for decades. In partnership with the National HIV Story Trust, it also features excerpts from filmed interviews that complement the portraits. Born in Amsterdam in 1963, van Zedelhoff employs chiaroscuro techniques to convey emotional depth. Paul Coleman, Co-Founder of the National HIV Story Trust, highlights the portraits' embodiment of resilience. The chapel, which has been associated with HIV care since 1987, offers free entry from 11 am to 6 pm Tuesday to Thursday and 11 am to 4 pm on Friday at 2 Pearson Square, London W1T 3BF.
