Daniele Sigalot's Monumental Self-Portrait Installations at Malpensa and Palazzo Tagliaferro

Daniele Sigalot presents two monumental installation exhibitions in Italy. At Milan Malpensa Airport Terminal 1, 'A portrait of everyone, everywhere' features 12 laser-engraved steel maps of cities arranged in a 35-meter circle, transforming into mirrors that distort reflections. Curated by Luca Beatrice, the work explores how places shape identity. The exhibition, visible until October 2021, never closed during lockdown and was produced with Wetzel&Magistris, under the patronage of SEA – Milan Airports and the Municipality of Milan. After the exhibition, the 12 maps will be donated to hospitals and charities. Simultaneously, 'Una Sfida al Nulla' opened at Palazzo Tagliaferro in Andora, Liguria, inaugurating the Contemporary Culture Center's season. Curated by Viana Conti and Christine Enrile, the installation incorporates Sigalot's signature motifs, including carpets made of colored medicinal capsules, reproducing the palace's friezes. Sigalot, born in Rome in 1976, has lived in Milan, Barcelona, London, Berlin, and Naples, and previously worked at Saatchi&Saatchi London.
