Daniela Doe Translates Digital Design into Tactile Craft

Malmö-based artist Daniela Doe explores the translation of graphic design from digital to tactile forms through traditional crafts such as tufting, embroidery, knitting, and printmaking. Her embroidered animations, built frame by frame on a sewing machine, use single letters with rotation and symmetry to create moving compositions. Recent experiments with images printed on tracing paper and drawn over add materiality to flat digital frames.
