Daniela De Lorenzo's Felt Sculptures Explore Presence and Absence at Lottozero

exhibition · 2026-05-26

At Lottozero Kunsthalle in Prato, Daniela De Lorenzo's solo exhibition 'Puzzle' presents felt sculptures and photographic prints that investigate the fragmentation and recomposition of the subject-object relationship. The works, created from body casts using felt's technological properties, form a segmented high relief with an irregular musical rhythm. The show also includes a series of photographs referencing Cosmè Tura's 'Madonna dello Zodiaco' (1459-1463), distorting a detail of the Virgin's face to explore ocular movement. Curated by Alessandra Tempesti and supported by Toscanaincontemporanea 2025, 'Puzzle' is the latest in Lottozero's soft sculpture series. De Lorenzo, a Florentine artist who debuted at the 1988 Venice Biennale, focuses on the phenomenology of perception, using performance as a starting point for many works. The exhibition runs until May 31.
