Daniela Collu's 'Un minuto d'arte' brings Instagram art history to print

Daniela Collu, known on social media as Stazzitta, has published 'Un minuto d'arte: 60 capolavori per riscoprire il piacere dell'arte senza filtri, senza soggezione, e con uno sguardo libero' with Vallardi in Milan. The book originated from her Instagram stories during lockdown, where she shared quick insights on artworks and monuments. It covers 60 masterpieces from Monet's Water Lilies to a discussion of sixteenth-century art, including artists like the Chapman brothers, Cindy Sherman, Anish Kapoor, Kandinsky, Leonardo da Vinci, Botticelli, Borromini, Klimt, Rothko, and Marina Abramović (with two chapters on her collaboration with Ulay). Collu mixes high art with pop culture, referencing Kiki de Montparnasse, Mimmo Rotella (linked to the film 'Un americano a Roma'), Andy Warhol's appearance on 'Love Boat', and Michelangelo's David's nose controversy.
