Daniel Patterson Returns to Fine Dining with Jacaranda in Los Angeles
Daniel Patterson, a Michelin-star chef, has opened Jacaranda in Los Angeles with his wife Sarah Lewitinn, marking his return to fine dining after his two-star San Francisco restaurant Coi closed in 2022. The 30-seat restaurant at 6623 Melrose Ave. offers a 10-course tasting menu of modern California cuisine, with desserts by former Coi pastry chef Matt Tinder. The interior, designed by Los Angeles-based Preen Inc., evokes a living room and includes a piece by artist Adele Renault and art from Lewitinn's great-uncle. The couple previously ran the Jaca Social Club pop-up from their Hancock Park home. Reservations are available online.
