Daniel Muzyczuk appointed director of Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź

Daniel Muzyczuk has been appointed as the new director of Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź, Poland, receiving unanimous backing from the selection committee and approval from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. He has held the position of acting director since July 2024, taking over from painter Andrzej Biernacki. Muzyczuk, who joined the museum in 2015 as chief curator, previously worked at the Centre of Contemporary Art Znaki Czasu in Toruń. His past projects include the 2016 Museum of Rhythm and the Polish pavilion at the 2013 Venice Biennale. He plans to enhance the museum's role in scholarship and public discourse.
