Daniel Arsham's Custom Porsche 911 Restomod Up for Sale
Artist Daniel Arsham has commissioned Canepa to sell his 1998 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 S restomod, the 993A, completed after an eight-month rebuild in 2024. The car debuted at the Bridge concours in the Hamptons. The restoration included expanding the engine to 3.8 liters, rebuilding the transmission and suspension, and a custom Vanilla Yellow paint originally created for a Kuwaiti prime minister's 993 Turbo S. The interior was retrimmed in dark-green leather by Justin Placek. Arsham also seeks a buyer for his 1987 911 Carrera coupe "911 Sculpture," previously shown at Perrotin Gallery. A film documenting the rebuild, "Art Is The Process," premiered at SVA Theater in February. Arsham's 2023 Petersen Automotive Museum exhibition "Arsham Auto Motive" featured his eroded car series. Offers around $595,000 are invited.
