Dan Flavin's First Solo Exhibition in Greater China Opens at David Zwirner Hong Kong
David Zwirner Hong Kong has opened the first solo exhibition of Dan Flavin's work in Greater China, focusing on his grid series begun in 1976. The show includes recreations of installations from significant exhibitions during Flavin's lifetime, with loans from public collections and the Estate of Dan Flavin. A version was previously on view at David Zwirner New York in January–February 2026. Flavin, who died in 1996, created a consistent body of work using commercially available fluorescent lamps, starting with the diagonal of May 25, 1963 (to Constantin Brancusi).
