Damiani opens new headquarters in Bologna city center

Italian photography publisher Damiani has relocated its offices from the outskirts of Bologna to Via Marsili 4 in the historic city center. The new space includes a public showroom for viewing and purchasing books. President Silvia Pesci stated the move aims to bring the publisher closer to the city. The relocation coincides with the release of 'Byways' by Roger Deakins, which also inspired an exhibition in the underpass of Piazza Re Enzo. Upcoming 2023 releases include a retrospective on Joel Meyerowitz's 60-year career, 'Onyx' by Adrienne Raquel, the first monograph of Eric Hart Jr., and 'When I think about power' focusing on LGBTQ themes. A monograph on fashion designer Azzedine Alaïa with photographs by Arthur Elgort, titled 'Freedom', will preview at the Fondation Alaïa in Paris on January 23. The 20th issue of Toiletpaper by Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari is forthcoming, as is the first issue of new art and fashion magazine Daisy Chain. Damiani was founded in 2004 within the Grafiche Damiani printing company, established in the 1950s. The publisher is known for innovative technology and focus on contemporary imagery, covering painting, architecture, design, pop culture, fashion, collecting, and sports.
