Dallas Museum of Art's jewelry collection debuts at Chrysler Museum

The Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk, Virginia, presents 'Constellations: Contemporary Jewelry from the Dallas Museum of Art,' showcasing over 350 pieces of wearable art from the DMA's collection, which has been developed since 1950. This exhibition highlights creations from more than 230 artists representing 41 countries, featuring notable names like Bruno Martinazzi, Giovanni Corvaja, David Bielander, Joyce J Scott, Verena Sieber-Fuchs, Taisha Carrington, and Francesca di Ciaula. Organized into four distinct themes—Zones of the Body, Archetypes, Signals, and Play—Mark A Castro, the museum's director of curatorial affairs, emphasizes the celebration of artists pushing the limits of wearable art. The display includes whimsical items like gold crowns resembling cardboard, toast-shaped brooches, nylon rings, and a composting collar crafted from egg cartons. This exhibition will be available until January 3, 2027.
