Dallas Contemporary Appoints John McBride as Interim Director and Jeremy Strick as Strategic Advisor
Dallas Contemporary has appointed John McBride as Interim Director and Jeremy Strick as Strategic Advisor during a multiyear planning period. McBride, formerly Deputy Director of the Nasher Sculpture Center, brings experience in operations and finance, having served as CFO and Interim Director of the Nasher. Strick, former Nasher Director for 15 years and earlier director of MOCA Los Angeles, will advise on mission, governance, and curatorial programming. The appointments follow the departure of Executive Director Lucia Simek in December 2025 and Carolina Alvarez-Mathies in September 2024. A planned survey of Ike E. Morgan was canceled but may be rescheduled. The current exhibition "Francisco Moreno: Historia Sintética" runs through August 30.
