Dallas Art Fair Launches Year-Round Exhibition Space 214 Projects

institutional · 2026-05-04

The Dallas Art Fair is opening a permanent exhibition space called 214 Projects on March 2, 2019, in the Design District of Dallas, Texas. Located at 2025 Irving Boulevard within the new “River Bend” redevelopment by Brook Partners Inc, the 230-square-meter venue will host rotating exhibitions by invited galleries throughout the year. The inaugural show will feature Emmanuel Van der Auwera presented by Harlan Levey Projects from Ixelles, Belgium. Additionally, 13 murals by Clare Woods will be installed in the outdoor areas. The initiative reflects a broader trend among art fairs to extend beyond annual events, similar to the New Art Dealers Alliance’s shift from its New York fair to the New York Gallery Open. Dallas Art Fair president John Sughrue stated that after eleven years, the fair is ready to expand and provide partners with more opportunities. Director Kelly Cornell emphasized that the space will allow exhibitors and artists to become integral to Dallas’s cultural landscape.
