Dallara Academy: Atelier(s) Alfonso Femia's Architectural Project in Varano de' Melegari
In Varano de' Melegari, located in the Parma Apennines, the Dallara Academy has officially opened its doors. Designed by Atelier(s) Alfonso Femia and commissioned by Giampaolo Dallara, this facility combines cultural and educational purposes with patronage. The structure spans two levels and features a curved glass ramp, housing reception areas and school laboratories on the ground floor, while the upper level contains a 350-seat auditorium. Its design incorporates intersecting geometric shapes that foster communal areas and educational labs, allowing middle and high school students to engage with physics in automotive settings. The second year of the MUNER master's program in Racing Car Design will take place on the first floor. In September 2017, the academy received the Best Future Building award at the ABB Leaf Awards, with Femia describing it as a fusion of space and community.
