Daft Punk's Unreleased Track to Debut at Centre Pompidou

other · 2026-04-27

On May 11, 2023, the Centre Pompidou in Paris will host the premiere of "Infinity Repeating (2013 Demo)," an unreleased track by Daft Punk featuring Julian Casablancas and The Voidz. The event coincides with the 10th-anniversary special edition of the duo's album "Random Access Memories," which won five Grammy Awards. The listening experience will utilize over 30 speakers in Gallery 3 for high-fidelity audio, while the music video will screen at Cinema 1 and on the giant screen in the Centre Pompidou Forum. On July 9, 2023, as part of the Moviment program, the public can attend a commented listening session of the entire album. The duo's connection to the Centre Pompidou dates back to November 12, 1992, when Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter attended a semi-clandestine rave called Armistice on the museum's rooftop, where they first encountered house music. This experience inspired Bangalter to purchase equipment for electronic music production, leading to the formation of Daft Punk, who disbanded on February 22, 2021, announced via the video "Epilogue" on YouTube.
