Cyro Arquitetura's 'white noise' studio apartment for Casacor 2026

architecture-design · 2026-08-09

The São Paulo studio Cyro Arquitetura has created a temporary studio apartment for the Casacor 2026 exhibition, located at Parque da Água Branca. This 50-square-metre installation, titled Ruído Branco, is designed to eliminate distractions and enhance concentration, using white noise as a metaphor for filtering out excess. It features an axial layout beneath a double-height ceiling, with bourbon walnut storage that divides the living and sleeping areas. The space boasts restored peroba wood flooring and white walls to enhance brightness. Furnishings include a Fita sofa by Guilherme Wentz and a Poltroninha chair by Lucio Costa. A custom mural by Rômulo Lass honors Brazilian muralism from the 1950s and 1960s. Casacor São Paulo will take place from 2 June to 9 August 2026.
