Cyprien Desrez and Bérénice Nouvel present 2026 artist residencies at Centre d’Art Contemporain Pontmain

Cyprien Desrez and Bérénice Nouvel showcase their 2026 artist residencies at the Centre d’Art Contemporain Pontmain from March 15 to May 3, 2026. Desrez employs papier-mâché, tapestry, and unusual objects to craft a poetic universe inspired by hitchhiking journeys, blending highway graphics with art history. Nouvel challenges painting boundaries through trompe-l’œil and autofiction, creating saturated-color painting-objects that draw from popular culture and daily life to interrogate taste hierarchies.
