CYFEST-12: ID Opens at Made in NY Media Center with Roman Media Art Festival Participation
The twelfth edition of CYFEST, an international media art festival promoting new art forms and technology interactions, opens December 13 at the Made in NY Media Center in Brooklyn. The festival features artists, curators, engineers, and programmers from around the world, with works in robotics, video art, sound art, and net art. Valentino Catricalà, collaborator of Artribune and artistic director of the Media Art Festival of Rome (MAXXI-Città Educativa di Roma), curates Daniele Luppi's video installation "Psychedelic Lock." Also on view is "E.V.O.D.E.V.O.R.E.V.O.," a three-part video program by MFA students of Pratt Digital Arts curated by their professor Carla Gannis. Victoria Ilyushkina, curator of Cyland, organizes a video screening titled "Digital Media Screening: Personal Identity," focusing on identity in the digital age of social networks. The festival runs from December 13 to 31, 2018, at 30 John Street, DUMBO, Brooklyn.
