Cvtà Street Fest: 10 Years of Street Art Reviving a Molise Village

festival-fair · 2026-04-26

From May 30 to June 1, 2025, Civitacampomarano, Molise, will host the tenth edition of the Cvtà Street Fest, an international festival celebrating street art. Established in 2016 by artist Alice Pasquini, following an invitation from Ylenia Carelli, the president of the local pro loco, the festival has roots in Pasquini's family history—her grandfather served as the town doctor. Over the past decade, more than 50 artists, including David de la Mano and Alex Senna, have contributed to over 90 murals, turning the village into an open-air museum. Annually, around 25,000 visitors come, boosting the local economy and inspiring similar projects in Portugal, Spain, and Italy. In 2024, Pasquini received the Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic for her contributions. The upcoming edition will feature artists like Jaune and Lucy McLauchlan, alongside musical guest Andy Smith. Future plans include artist residencies, nature-focused installations, and a book detailing Cvtà's history, published by Drago.
