Curators Named for Asian Art Biennial 2024 in Taiwan

The curatorial team for the 2024 Asian Art Biennial has been revealed by the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, with Fang Yen Hsiang serving as the convener. The team features Anne Davidian, Merv Espina, Haeju Kim, and Asli Seven. Fang Yen Hsiang, an independent curator and art critic, focuses on the links between contemporary art and social movements. Anne Davidian, originally from Armenia, curated the Pavilion of Armenia at the 2022 Venice Biennale. Merv Espina is known for his role in the WSK Festival of the Recently Possible in the Philippines. Haeju Kim, who directed the Busan Biennale 2022, is also involved with the Singapore Art Museum and will curate the Singapore Pavilion at the 2024 Venice Biennale. Asli Seven has curated exhibitions at the Odunpazari Modern Museum and the Arter Museum in Istanbul. The biennial will address themes such as conflict, displacement, and the interplay between human and non-human realms in contemporary Asia, running from November 26, 2024, to February 28, 2025.
