CURA. Magazine Celebrates 10 Years with 30th Issue and Expanded Curatorial Platform

CURA., the Italian art magazine and curatorial platform founded in 2009 by Ilaria Marotta, marks its tenth anniversary with the release of its 30th issue. The publication, which operates as a triannual magazine, a publishing house, and a curatorial platform, has expanded its activities to include two physical exhibition spaces: Basement Roma in Rome and KURA. at Fonderia Artistica Battaglia in Milan. Basement Roma, originally the magazine's editorial office, will temporarily relocate to Kunsthalle Lisbon from mid-May to late August 2019, presenting a show by Athena Papadopoulos. This move is part of a collaboration with Kunsthalle Lisbon directors Luís Silva and João Mourão, alongside other institutions like SALTS in Basel, all celebrating their tenth anniversaries. CURA. also manages the Clubbing editorial series, exploring the intersection of art and nightlife, with upcoming issues curated by AHMD (Eddie Peake, George Henry Longly, Prem Sahib) and Fabrice Hyber. The magazine maintains its independence and is distributed in major museums worldwide, including Centre Pompidou, Tate, Palais de Tokyo, New Museum, PS1, and Whitney Museum.
