Cupra Raval: Barcelona Launch of Electric Urban Vehicle
Cupra unveiled its first 100% electric urban vehicle, the Raval, with a launch spanning twelve European cities and culminating in a cultural event in Barcelona. The brand transformed its Casa Cupra venue into a homage to the Raval neighborhood, and held a concert at Plaça Catalunya headlined by Nathy Peluso, with simultaneous performances by Disiz in Paris and Kim Petras in Berlin. The Raval is built on the MEB+ platform, featuring a low-slung silhouette, 441 liters of boot space, a 'shark nose' front, flush illuminated door handles, and Matrix LED headlights. Customization options include iridescent Plasma paint shifting from cyan to indigo, matte finishes like Manganese and Century Bronze, and bi-colour roofs. The VZ Extreme edition delivers 166kW (226PS) and accelerates in 6.8 seconds. The cabin includes a Smart Light Next Generation interface, a 12.9-inch Android OS infotainment system, and a Sennheiser sound system. The 'AHEAD' pack uses bucket seats made from 100% recycled materials via 3D knitting. With a 52 kWh battery, the Raval has a range of up to 446 km and DC fast charging from 10% to 80% in 24 minutes.
