Cult of Magic: Performance Art Between Curatorial and Authorial Practice

Established in 2017 by choreographers Giada Vailati, Samira Cogliandro, and composer Francesco Sacco, the Cult of Magic collective later welcomed Luca Pasquino. Their artistic exploration delves into performance art, examining audience interactions and spatial dynamics. Their projects have been showcased at venues such as Museo Novecento, Palazzo Te, and Triennale Milano, as well as festivals like Exister and Hyperlocal. Key works include "Questo è il mio corpo (un’altra Ofelia)" (2021) and the "Guerrilla Gig" initiative, which began in September 2024. Since 2022, they have performed their "Analog Techno Live Set" at Plastic. Upcoming works feature "Beauty" and "Fear of the Dark." They will debut their first installation at BASE Milano on May 4, 2025, alongside a workshop, followed by a residency at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Catanzaro.
