Crowdfunding campaign to complete Parco dei Murales in Naples

A crowdfunding campaign is underway to finish the first social street art district in Campania, located at Parco dei Murales in the Ponticelli neighborhood of eastern Naples. The initiative, promoted by INWARD (the national observatory on urban creativity of the Associazione Culturale Arteteca), began in 2015 when street artist Jorit Agoch painted a mural of a Roma girl on a building in Parco Merola, a residential complex housing 160 families. Since then, six murals have been created by artists including Zed1, Mattia Campo Dall'Orto, Rosk&Loste, La Fille Bertha, and Daniele Hope Nitti. The final mural will be by Zeus40, a street artist from eastern Naples, focusing on the value of caring for one's neighborhood. The campaign on Meridonare.it also funds social workshops and merchandise. The project has involved public and private support, social activities, and creative workshops with residents, and recently launched street art tours to support the social cooperative Arginalia, which creates job opportunities for local youth.
