Cronenberg Marathon and Exhibition Hit Italian Cinemas Ahead of 'Crimes of the Future'

A David Cronenberg film marathon runs from August 19 to 23, 2022, at three Italian cinemas: Quattro Fontane in Rome, Anteo Palazzo del Cinema in Milan, and Ambrosio in Turin. The marathon features 12 films in original language with subtitles, including 'Rabid', 'Crash', 'The Brood', 'Scanners', 'Videodrome', 'The Fly', 'Naked Lunch', 'A History of Violence', 'A Dangerous Method', 'Eastern Promises', and 'Maps to the Stars'. The event precedes the Italian release of Cronenberg's latest film 'Crimes of the Future' on August 24, distributed by Lucky Red. Concurrently, the exhibition 'La Nuova Carne' at Quattro Fontane and Anteo showcases 40 works by Italian artists and cartoonists as a tribute to Cronenberg. The exhibition is co-produced by COMICON and Marco Lucchetti Art Gallery of Lugano. 'Crimes of the Future' premiered at Cannes in May 2022, returning Cronenberg to body horror, exploring human evolution in a synthetic environment. The film stars Viggo Mortensen, Léa Seydoux, and Kristen Stewart.
