Cristina Ciusa Brings Art and Biodiversity Workshop to Triennale Milano
On May 23, Triennale Milano hosts 'i colori raccontano storie® per Nutrire la Biodiversità', a workshop curated by Cristina Ciusa that uses art to explore water, biodiversity, and health. Inspired by Maria Lai's relational art, participants—both children and adults—work with threads, ribbons, and fabrics to create a collective artwork on a large canvas representing the earth and water cycles. The project aims to make scientific concepts like hydration and planetary health accessible through hands-on creative experiences. After its debut at a primary school in via Bergognone, the workshop now enters Triennale's Gioco space, emphasizing play and imagination for families. Ciusa describes the initiative as a cultural responsibility to decode complex themes via art, fostering awareness of interdependence between health and sustainability. The workshop also includes a dedicated experience for parents for the first time.
