Craighead Green Gallery Rebrands as Bardin Gallery Under New Ownership
In October 2023, after 34 years, Craighead Green in Dallas will be rebranded as Bardin Gallery, marking a leadership change initiated by William Bardin's arrival in 2021. Bardin took ownership from the founders, Kenneth Craighead and Steve Green, in January 2025. This 20-month transition period is designed to maintain continuity while Bardin shapes his curatorial approach, honoring the gallery's heritage. Most artists will remain, but the programming will focus on themed group exhibitions. The 'New Texas Talent' exhibition will persist, and a chosen artist will curate the 'Annual Group Show.' Two solo exhibitions, 'Thom Jackson: Out of Context' and 'Anders Moseholm: Fenestrations,' are set to debut on August 29, 2023, with Bardin Gallery's inaugural show, 'New American,' opening on October 3, 2023. A public dialogue between Green and Bardin took place on August 15, 2023.
