CRAfest 2020: Puglia's streaming festival for cinema and music launches call for entries

CRAfest 2020, a fully streaming festival organized by the Polo biblio-museale di Lecce and the DAMS of the Università del Salento, will take place from May 4 to 10, 2020, on YouTube and Instagram as part of the #LaCulturaRestaAccesa digital program. The festival aims to promote Puglia's musical and cinematic culture during the COVID-19 lockdown. It features daily video content at 4 PM and 9 PM, including exhibitions, theater, music, readings, and conferences, such as a virtual tour of the Castromediano Museum's archaeological collection introduced by Michelangelo Pistoletto's "Venere degli stracci." The festival also includes a competition for young artists nationwide in two categories: short films and music. Submissions are pre-selected by the Cineclub Universitario and Musiclub Unisalento, with winners presenting their works at national festivals. The deadline for entries is April 26, 2020. Loredana Capone, assessor for tourism and cultural industry of the Puglia Region, emphasized that students have been working remotely for a month to create the program, supported by Apulia Film Commission and Teatro Pubblico Pugliese.
