Courtauld to open two new contemporary art galleries after £10m Blavatnik gift

In 2029, The Courtauld in London is set to unveil two contemporary art galleries, thanks to a generous £10 million donation from the Blavatnik Family Foundation. This latest contribution brings the foundation’s total commitment to the institute to £20 million. The new Blavatnik Contemporary Galleries will be situated within The Courtauld's expanded campus at Somerset House. Led by Leonard and Lady Emily Blavatnik, the foundation has also supported various esteemed institutions, including the National Gallery, the National Portrait Gallery, the Royal Academy, and Tate.
