Counterpublic Triennial Coyote Time to Debut at Frieze New York
Counterpublic, a nonprofit organization from St. Louis recognized for its public art triennial, is set to unveil its third edition titled Coyote Time. This event will coincide with New York art week and a collaboration with Frieze New York. Scheduled from September 12 to December 12, 2026, the triennial will showcase nearly 50 artists across five locations in St. Louis. The name is inspired by a video game commission from Alice Bucknell. On May 13 and 14 at Frieze New York, Kite will feature Wíhaŋyablapi (of St. Louis). Notable venues include the International Institute, The Ville, the National Building Arts Center, and the Mississippi riverfront. A climate impact report will be published at the end of the exhibition, and curators include Stefanie Hessler and others.
