institutional · 2026-04-27

The Cottino Social Impact Campus, the first center in Europe dedicated to impact education, will begin classes in February 2020 in Turin, Italy. Promoted by the Fondazione Cottino, the campus is developed in strategic collaboration with Politecnico di Torino, SocialFare, and ESCP Europe, within an ecosystem including Opera Torinese del Murialdo, EVPA, and Torino Social Impact. Laura Orestano, CEO of the campus, explains that it offers courses, modules, thematic insights, research, and exposure to pioneering experts on social impact. The campus is open to all, targeting individuals and organizations interested in developing positive social impact and integral sustainability. Students are called "world makers" and will learn from thinkers, practitioners, and academics such as Prof. Guido Palazzo from the University of Lausanne, who will address systemic ethics. Other modules include storytelling for change, impact investing, and city making. The campus aims to foster a Mediterranean European model of social impact, attracting international attention while grounding itself in Mediterranean culture.
