Côté court festival in Pantin honors André S. Labarthe with retrospective
The 17th edition of the Côté court film festival, held annually in Pantin, presents a retrospective of André S. Labarthe's work from June 11 to 19, featuring 22 programs and 70 films. This offers younger generations a chance to discover one of French cinema's most singular figures, while longtime followers can explore new gems among his approximately 600 films. Also screening at Pantin is a first version of Estelle Fredet's film "Le Sommeil continue n'importe quelle idée" dedicated to Labarthe. On October 17, the Femis will host a 48-hour non-stop screening of all films from the collections "Cinéma de notre temps" and "Cinéastes de notre temps" under the title "La Saga de cinéma, de notre temps." A collection of texts titled "Happy End (Accords perdus n°2)" has just been published by LimeLight editions.
