Costumed Performances Bring Dumas' Characters to Life at Château de Monte-Cristo

On June 28, 2026, the park of the Château de Monte-Cristo in Le Port-Marly, 30 minutes from Paris, will host an afternoon of theatrical performances, costumes, and dance. The Ankreation company will stage a wandering performance with scenes from Alexandre Dumas' novels, featuring characters like d'Artagnan and Milady de Winter. Participants in 19th-century costumes will join the event, and Le Temps des danses will demonstrate waltzes, polkas, and other romantic dances. The event runs from 2 PM to 6 PM at Chemin du Haut des Ormes, 78560 Le Port-Marly. Tickets are €13, reduced €5. The château, built by Dumas with earnings from his serialized novels, becomes a stage where his fictional characters return to life.
