Cormio celebrates women's football at Milan Fashion Week

other · 2026-04-27

At Milan Fashion Week, the Cormio brand presented its autumn-winter 2023/24 collection inspired by women's football, not focusing on WAGs but on the sport itself and the new generations of women passionate about it. The show took place in an indoor football pitch near Parco Forlanini, decorated with satin bows and curtains made from Goleador candies. Young female players cheered the models. The collection featured striped pastel uniforms with a varsity twist, football-shaped handbags, and silver lamé sweaters printed with sexist insults, contrasting sweetness with resilience. Jezabelle Cormio, founder of the brand established in 2016, is a New York-born designer of Italo-Croatian and Italian-American heritage, trained at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. Her career was boosted by former Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele, who selected her for Gucci Fest and Gucci Vault. The brand is known for its Tyrolean-inspired aesthetic with ironic and folkloric spirit, focusing on knitwear and eco-friendly production.
