Córdoba Launches International Painting Prize with €30,000 Award
The Córdoba City Council has introduced the inaugural International Painting Prize Ciudad de Córdoba, aimed at fostering contemporary art and establishing Córdoba as a cultural hub. Artists aged 18 and older can submit original paintings created post-2020, limited to two entries per artist. Submissions must be primarily two-dimensional, measuring between 80 cm and 300 cm on any side, and should not exceed 50 kg in weight. The deadline for electronic applications is September 2, 2026, which must include a PDF dossier with required documents. Selected works should be submitted to Plaza de Orive, 2, Córdoba, within 15 business days following jury notification. The prize amount is €30,000, with Mayor José María Bellido presiding over the jury.
